Developmental Educators are allied health professionals who work with people with disability across the lifespan.

Support connects learning, communication, behaviour, independence and relationships. Olivia works with the person and family to set practical goals and build skills where they are needed.

Professional experience informed by family life.

Olivia Joso is a practising Developmental Educator, Master of Autism Studies graduate and parent coach.

Since starting her independent practice in 2023, Olivia has supported children, young people and families across home, education, community and telehealth settings. Her work combines professional practice with her experience as a parent.

What does a Developmental Educator do?+

A Developmental Educator supports learning, communication, independence and participation. This may include goal setting, skill teaching and practical strategies for daily life.

Who can benefit from developmental education?+

Olivia supports children and young people with disability, autism or developmental differences, together with their families, educators and support teams.

How is this different from other therapies?+

Developmental education is an allied health profession focused on disability. It connects learning, behaviour, communication, independence, relationships and participation.

Can sessions involve parents or educators?+

Yes. Olivia works with families and educators to develop practical support that can be used consistently in daily settings.

Does Olivia offer telehealth?+

Yes. Telehealth is available in English and Indonesian, including goal setting, routines planning, progress reviews and parent coaching.

Is Olivia a registered NDIS provider?+

Not currently. Olivia is a practising member of Developmental Educators Australia but is not a registered NDIS provider. Please contact her to discuss private support.
